DTF Dimapur meeting conducted a meeting on malaria elimination on February 17.
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 17 (MExN): The District Task Force Dimapur held a meeting on Malaria Elimination on February 17 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall. The meeting was chaired by Anoop Khinchi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur.
Dr. Imtiwabong, DPO, NVBDCP Dimapur presented the report on Malaria cases in 2019 which was reviewed by the members present. During the meeting, the members resolved to continue conducting social works to involve the stakeholders. Co-ordination meetings with allied departments were also proposed. The members also resolved to continue the distribution of larvivorous fish.
Kikolol Khieya, Assistant Director, UVBDS Dimapur was given the responsibility to find out areas of ponds in and around Dimapur to control mosquito breeding areas. The IT Section under DMC has also been given the responsibility to sketch out maps of drainage for the Dimapur Municipal Area.
The members further resolved to seek out financial assistance from Swatch Bharat Mission to clean the drains, ponds, and stagnant waters in Dimapur.
Other officials present during the meeting were Dr. Pangjung Sangtam, Chief Medical Officer Dimapur; R Amongla Jamir, District Education Officer Dimapur; Kilolol Khieya, Assistant Director, UVBDS; Kito Anche, SDO, NH (PWD); Hutoi Sema, DPO, Social Welfare; Adezenuo Dolie, Fishery Department; Ganesh Sharma, Superintendent, DMC; Vizobonuo Khieya, Zonal Entomologist; Ezewe, Consultant NVBDCP Dimapur; and staff under CMO Dimapur.
