Dimapur, July 8 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Dimapur organised ‘Within State Farmers’ Exposure Tour’ to Jalukie block under Peren district on June 30 with representatives of farmers from various blocks of Dimapur district.
According to a press release from Akavi Holo, Block Technology Manager, Kuhuboto block, the team visited pineapple farm school in Mhainamtsi village, mixed farming school in Jalukie B village and poultry farm school in Samziuram village.
Owners of the various farms explained the methods of the farming system they practice to the touring farmers, it added.
The purpose of the tour was to enable the farmers to gather more field experiences and practices in different farming system practised by the local farmers of different districts of Nagaland.
Halungsuipoing Mbung, ATM (ATMA), Jalukie block guided the team to all the farms. The tour was led under the initiative of Akavi Holo, Block Technology Manager and Ameto Yeptho, Assistant Technology Manager, ATMA-Dimapur.
