Faculty, administration and students of Dimapur Government College on Monday bade farewell to its Principal, Ngangshikokba Ao on his retirement from service.
A host of speakers from various departments of the college, administration, non-teaching staff, Community College, IQAC team and students who spoke at the programme described the retiring Principal as a God-fearing person, patient, respectful and a visionary man. They gave credit to him for bringing in various developments to the college during his last two years as the Principal.
Addressing the gathering, Ngangshikokba lauded the togetherness and unity exhibited by the college team who had extended all support and cooperation towards him beyond expectations. He encouraged them to strengthen their togetherness and reminded that the NAAC was about to reassess their college in few months and that they should all strongly work together to achieve a higher grade. The Principal said that his two years of working at DGC was “fulfilling” although he said there were many regrets of incomplete objectives. Ngangshikokba thanked God for being by his side throughout his service.
The Principal earlier released the annual college magazine and journal.
Specials numbers were presented by students, faculty, non-teaching staff and others in honour of the outgoing Principal during the solemn programme held at the conference hall of the College.
