Dimapur, March 23 (MExN): The Jal Shakti Team, Dimapur Government College (DGC) organised a walkathon to commemorate World Water Day March 22, 2024 along with the rest of the world under the theme "Water for Peace."
A brief programme was held at the tri-junction in Duncan Colony, Dimapur where Lhipe Naro, Assistant Professor delivered a brief speech and flagged off the walkathon.
The water conservation awareness walk culminated on the college campus where another sensitisation session led by Dr Rukuoviu, Assistant Professor was organised.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr G Phukato Sema, Assistant Professor and the convenor of the Jal Shakti Team dwelt on the theme and emphasised on collective responsibility to preserve water, informed a DGC release.
