Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): The Dimapur Inter School Athletic Meet took place at Government Higher Secondary School Ground (GHSS) United Colony, Nagarjan on November 7, 2023.
This event was organised by Dimapur Athletics and ANPSA NBSE Unit Dimapur under the aegis of Nagaland Athletics.
Gracing the occasion, District Sports Officer Dimapur Tepulezonu encouraged the participating students to be disciplined in all aspects of their lives, to dream big, and to work hard.
Dreams can be achieved with dedication and perseverance, no matter how many failures one encounter, she added.
Rev Fr Jacob Charalel, Secretary CEDOK and Vice President of ANPSA Central, acknowledged the courage and sacrifice required to organise an Inter School Athletic Meet.
Such events are not organised for personal advantage but to provide an opportunity for all athletes to come together, showcase their talents, and gain experience and knowledge, he said. He also highlighted the values of love, friendship, sincerity, and justice that students learn from such competitions, he added.
Rev Fr Jacob also encouraged students to dream big, take risks, and not be afraid of failures, as taking risks is essential for achieving one’s dreams, informs a DIPR report.
