Dimapur, June 14 (MExN): The Nagaland Home Guards Service Association (NHGSA) held its 14th General Session at Central Training Institute, Toluvi, Dimapur on June 14.
Renchamo P Kikon, IPS, Director General, Home Guards, Civil Defence & SDRF graced the session as the special guest. Addressing the inaugural session, he lauded the department for providing selfless service to the people, especially during disaster despite having limited manpower.
While urging the members to take pride in being a member of the Association and of the department, he stressed that the Association should strive to achieve specific targets and to be a platform for bringing about positive changes in the department.
Special address was delivered by S. Rotokha Zhimomi, Commandant, CTI. He highlighted on the past experiences about the department. Medozhalie Pienyu, Deputy Commandant General and Advisor of NHGSA emphasized upon the importance of positive contribution by all the members towards the department during their time in services. He acknowledged the contribution made by various officers and encouraged all the members to strive for excellence in order to take the department forward.
NHGSA President, Avinuo spoke about the various challenges being faced by the Association members and by the department at large. The inaugural function was chaired by I. Changsongla, Assistant Finance Secretary NHGSA while business session was led by NHGSA vice president Ngongvai E. Phom.
