Dimapur, July 10 (MExN): The Commissioner of Police, Dimapur in compliance to orders of the Nagaland Government and DC Dimapur today informed that essential movement of all vehicles within Dimapur district shall continue to ply in odd-even system from July 11 to 17.
Odd number day: On every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, only vehicles with registration number ending with odd numbers (eg. 1,3,5,7 & 9) will be allowed to ply.
Even number day: On every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, only vehicles with registration number ending with even numbers (eg. 2,4,6,8 & 0) will be allowed to ply. Violation of the order will be penalized under section 177 and 179 of the MV Act 1988, an order issued by the Commissioner of Police Dimapur informed. All officers and staff in the exempted category should carry Identity Card issued by respective HoD, it added.
