Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): Mobile 92 party of Dimapur Police apprehended one person identified as Lukheto Chophy (32), presently residing at Model village, 5th Mile, while he was extorting money from truck drivers on April 22 around 11:30 pm, according to a press release from Dimapur Police. In this connection, a regular case has been registered at Diphupar Police Station, Dimapur and further investigation is on, it added.
Meanwhile, on April 20 around 2:00 pm, Dimapur East Police Station personnel along with representatives from Lakme Cosmetic and L’oreal conducted a raid in few suspected shops at New Market, where counterfeit/ bogus cosmetic items – lipstick, foundation, eye liner, medical powder etc, were recovered/ seized. Five people identified as Manoj Gupta (39), Chandan Kumar Chaudhary (26), Subodh Kumar Chaudhary (30), Bhima Kumar (22), and Guddu Kumar (27) were arrested in this connection. A regular case has been registered at East Police Station, Dimapur and further investigation is on, the press release added.
