DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 12 (MExN): Dimapur Police have made a breakthrough in the investigation into the death of late Noghuvi K Sumi, a final-year Bachelor of Theology student whose body was found under mysterious circumstances earlier this month.
According to a press release issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) on Tuesday, a suspect was arrested on November 8 in connection with the case. The arrested individual has been identified as Nanaw Meitram, aged 37, son of Sudash Meitram from Saiton Village in Bishnupur, Manipur.
Noghuvi K Sumi’s body was discovered on the morning of November 3, wrapped in a blanket in the Walford area of Dimapur. Following the discovery, a case was registered at the East Police Station under Case No. 179/24.
