Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): Dimapur Police apprehended five persons involved in extortion and burglary on different occasions on November 7 and September 21 respectively.
As per a press release from Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police/PRO, Dimapur, on November 7, Dimapur Police Anti Extortion Team (AET) apprehended one Kitoho Muru, Captain NNC (Parent Body) resident of Purana Bazaar, Dimapur and recovered a cash of Rs 1000 along with ignition key of a mini truck. An ID card of the accused was also recovered.
On the same day, Dimapur Police apprehended two persons – Nguhito Kiba (26 years) resident of Notun Bosti, Dimapur and Sukhato Achumi (25 years), resident of Balijan, Niuland for collecting illegal tax from Tempo (Auto-carrier)in the name of NSCN (K). The release stated that 5 numbers of demand slip, 2 numbers of non-local thikadar work permit were recovered from their possession. Both cases were registered at Sub-Urban Police Station for further investigation.
On September 21, two persons were arrested – Iloto Achumi (18 years), resident of 4th Mile Agri Expo Dimapur and Nitova Zhimo (21 years), resident of 5th Mile Model Village, Dimapur who were involved in a burglary case. One Flat TV Screen, one DVD player, five sets of sound system, two filled gas cylinders and one decorated khukri from their possession. A case was registered at Diphupar Police Station for further investigation.
