Dimapur, January 22 (MExN): The Dimapur Police made a series of arrests in the last fortnight over various crimes and illegal activities.
The first arrest was made on January 16 when one Ravi Borah was apprehended with 2800 Nos. of Spasmo Proxyvon capsules in his possession.
A press note from the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Nagaland has informed that a case has been registered against the person at East Police Station Dimapur in this connection.
One Hekuto (37) was also apprehended while trying to snatch mobile phone and cash of Rs. 5000 on January 17. Likewise, one Akaho Ayemi was arrested for forcefully snatching mobile phone and cash of Rs 5000 in Super market on January 19. In both incidents, separate cases have been filed at East Police Station Dimapur.
In another case, the Dimapur police arrested one Tokugha Chophy (37) on January 19 and recovered one Govt registered Mahindra Bolero from Zunheboto district which was stolen on January 12. A case has been registered in this regard at Diphupar Police Station and investigation is being conducted.
On January 21, the police based on specific input arrested three persons Khon Khiamnungan (32), Sukhiam Khiamungan (22) and Mono Khiamnungan (22) from a Hotel at Old Railway Gate, Dimapur and recovered one .22 Pistol with one Magazine and five Live rounds, one.32 Pistol with one Magazine and two live rounds. In this connection a case has been registered at East Police Station and investigation is being carried out.
