Dimapur, April 30 (MExN): The Anti Extortion Team under Zone-II of Dimapur Police arrested one Heshito Yepthomi, a ‘leacy’ of GPRN/NSCN, on April 29. He was demanding annual taxes from the business houses at Gorapatti area when he was apprehended, according to a press release from PRO, Dimapur Police.
Meanwhile, the Anti Extortion Team under Zone-I of Dimapur Police arrested one Salman Laskar while collecting tax in the name of GPRN/NSCN at the fish bazaar in New Market area on April 29. Cash and incriminating documents were seized from his possession, the release said.
Further, on April 30, the Dimapur Police personnel of GRPS arrested five persons based on complaints received of them being involved in looting passengers arriving Dimapur in trains late in the night. The five identified as Roshan Kumar, Bikash Harijan, Vishal Harijan, Babu Khan, and Shambu Saha have been booked and case is under investigation, the PRO informed.
In another incident, the Dimapur Police personnel of GRPS arrested one person identified as Nitish Kumar from whose possession 10,000 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon and 2,500 tablets of Nitrosen were seized on April 30.
The Anti Extortion Team under Zone-I of Dimapur Police also arrested two persons while collecting tax in the name of GPRN/NSCN at the Tata parking in Khermahal area on April 30. They have been identified as Tokaho Chopy and Chinaho. Extortion slips and incriminating documents were recovered from their possession, the release added.
