DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 20 (MExN): The Office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur has informed that the Dimapur Police will enforce a drive against the use of tinted glass/black films on four wheelers/vehicles from October 22.
A press note from the PRO, Dimapur Police informed that this is in compliance to the Supreme Court ban on tinted glass beyond the visual light transmission limit of 70% for the front /rear windshields and 50% for the side windows. In this connection, all vehicle owners have been requested to co-operate during the exercise.
Meanwhile, on the solemn occasion of the ‘Police Commemoration Day which will be observed on October 21 2018,’ the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, along with the entire rank and file of Dimapur Police, paid tribute and honour for late UBC Thiubuibo Zeliang, who in the line of duty made the supreme sacrifice after demonstrating exemplary willpower and courage in the face of adversity during a special police operation in 2014.
Remembering his ultimate sacrifice, the Dimapur Police has once again pledged to selflessly strive against all odds no matter how perilous to maintain peace among the citizens and bring justice to the needy.
