Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): The Dimapur Police on November 21 recovered one unidentified non-Naga male (20-25 yrs approx) lying unconscious below Flyover Bridge near Railway Station.
“Dimapur police shifted the said person to District Hospital Dimapur for treatment but later expired while undergoing medical treatment,” stated a press release from Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO Dimapur.
“Inquest was conducted over the dead body and no foul play could be established. The cause of death is highly suspected to be due to starvation and dehydration,” it stated.
Further, on completion of all legal formalities, the dead body was shifted to District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination/identification. The deceased was wearing grey jean pant, grey t-shirt and brown long sleeve shirt.
