Dimapur, December 4 (MExN): The Dimapur Police on Thursday has issued traffic advisory in view of the ‘Night Carnival’ organised by the DMC in coordination with the District Administration and DCCI as an extension of the Hornbill Festival, along the stretch from Holy Cross Point to City Tower from December 6 to 10.
A press update by the Commissioner of Police informed that ‘entry of vehicles from either side of Holy Cross Junction and City Tower Junction will be restricted from 4 PM to 11 PM daily w.e.f December 6 to 10.’
At the same time, it informed that vehicles will not be allowed to park at the stretch beyond 4 PM during the carnival period, and added that “any vehicle found parked in the areas meant for setting up of Night Carnival stalls shall be towed or clamped and penalised.”
Likewise, it mentioned that all feeder roads located at the stretch will be barricaded and closed for vehicular traffic during the Night Carnival period.
Furthermore, it informed that vehicles can be parked at the road side at available parking spaces without causing obstruction to free flow of traffic.
It also informed that the Youth Department of Town Baptist Church, Nyamo Lotha Road will be temporarily running ‘Paid Parking’ facility at Christian Higher Secondary School premises w.e.f December 6 to 23 from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Additionally, it informed that the paid parking facility will be relaxed till 11 PM for the Night Carnival visitors during December 6 to 10.
