Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): The Dimapur Police observed the National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) in October with a series of initiatives to promote cyber safety and digital literacy among citizens, and encourage responsible online behavior among citizens.
As part of the drive, lectures on cybercrime, cyber hygiene, and cybersecurity were conducted at three schools: Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, St Paul Higher Secondary School, and Livingstone Foundation International in Dimapur.
The police also disseminated cyber awareness posters and pamphlets across various locations in the town to educate the public.
In a significant outreach to the youth, students from 30 schools across the district took Cyber Awareness Pledge.
The Dimapur Police acknowledged the schools and the public for their “vital role and enthusiastic participation,” which they said has “strengthened community resilience.”
“Their involvement has been essential in creating awareness whereby encouraging all citizens to stay informed about evolving Cyber Crime threats/tactic and to adopt safer online practices.”
