Dimapur, March 25 (MExN): The Dimapur Police has recovered an unidentified body on Friday. The Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur informing this in a press release stated that on March 24 at around 2:10 pm, telephonic information was received from Traffic Control Dimapur stated that one unidentified dead body was found lying outside their office.
On receiving the information, East PS team went to the spot for inquiry and it was ascertain that one dead body non-local male (age around 35 yrs) was found lying on the roadside near Traffic Control room. Inquest was conducted over the dead and no any foul play could be ascertained.
“The deceased is suspected to be a beggar/homeless person and highly suspected to have died due to illness or starvation.” On completion of all legal formalities the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for PM examination/identification,” the PRO Dimapur reported.
The deceased was found wearing black half pant, long sleeve white shirt and bare footed. The identification mark of the deceased was a black mole on stomach and on right shoulder.
