Dimapur Police rolls out new traffic routes from November 28

To enforce ‘zero tolerance’ towards traffic violations

Dimapur, November 26 (MExN): The Dimapur Police has issued revised traffic regulations for several key stretches within the city, which will come into effect from 7:00 AM on November 28.

According to an advisory issued by the Commissioner of Police, Aotula T Imchen, the new regulations include the restoration of two-way traffic between Deluxe Point and Holy Cross Police Point, and vice versa, as per designated lane markings.

The Khermahal–Deluxe Point stretch has also been declared a two-way route.

However, vehicles coming from Khermahal or Eros Lane towards Deluxe Point will be allowed to proceed only towards the New Flyover and will not be permitted to enter Nyamo Lotha Road.

Likewise, vehicles approaching from MP Road will be allowed to move towards Nyamo Lotha Road or the New Flyover, while entry towards Khermahal will remain restricted.

All other existing traffic regulations will continue unchanged, the advisory stated.

Meanwhile, the Dimapur Police cautioned that it would enforce a “zero tolerance” approach towards traffic violations and urged the public to adhere strictly to all signage, including No Parking, No Entry, and prescribed parking systems.

It further appealed for public cooperation to ensure smoother traffic flow, enhanced road safety, and a disciplined commuting environment.
