Dimapur Police Security measures: In a novel initiative to ensure the safety of the auto rickshaw passengers, Dimapur Traffic Police has launched a new policy whereby it is made mandatory for the auto rickshaw drivers to display their name and other details in the back of the driver’s seat in an autorickshaw. The display card is being issued by the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Dimapur and process will be completed within a month. A sample copy posted by the Dimapur Police in its Facebook Page informed that the card will display the particulars of a driver like name, residency, mobile number as well as blood group and validity. Likewise, it will also display credentials of the vehicle’s owner. (Source: Facebook)
