Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): Training for police officers on tobacco control laws was held in Police Commissioner’s conference hall on March 18.
Ajongba Imchen, Chief Judicial Magistrate and Dr C Tetseo from medical department were the resource persons. Imlisunep, IPS Commissioner of Police and Shouka Kakheto ADCP also addressed the meeting.
The Commissioner of Police encouraged the officers to be sincere and be a role model as the provision of laws cannot be implemented without them. It was also decided during the training that all police establishments and Police stations in Dimapur districts will be made smoke free area.
“The officers also agreed to put their efforts to take smoke free Dimapur campaign forward,” DNO NTCP Dr Tetseo said in a press release. A total of 48 officers from all zones attended the training.
