Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): All transport vehicles bound for Dimapur town or transiting through Dimapur district towards Kohima will now be provided armed escorts, Dimapur Police informed on Monday.
As per a press release from the PRO and ADCP (Crime), Dimapur, the transport vehicles entering through New Field or Dellai Check Gate will be provided armed escorts at staggered timings.
For Dimapur bound vehicles, coming through either of the entry points, the escorts will be provided at 4:00 am and 7:30 am in the morning and 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
However, for transport vehicles going towards Kohima, armed escorts will be provided till Chaprü, twice a day—4:30 in the morning and 6:30 pm. (See box)
