Dimapur, April 10 (MExN): BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya today expressed surprised at the appalling condition of infrastructure and described the roads in Dimapur as a “camel ride”.
He was addressing party workers at Tulovi village under Dimapur 3 mandal after his arrival at Dimapur on April 10. He held a series of meetings with State party officials, Core committee members, State Morchas, DImapur District Mandal and Booth level committees, a press release informed.
There is not even a simple trait of a modern infrastructure in place despite the centre disbursing sufficient funds to take care of all these, he viewed and called on the gathering to bring development by electing the BJP government to power. He encouraged party workers to work hard to uplift their society with tireless efforts and assured of all help from the centre.
Interacting with the audience, he answered several queries and assured to take up their issues with the government, the release stated.
Meanwhile, the State BJP has informed that Vijayvargiya will be leading the Swachh Bharat programme at Dimapur on April 11, 6:00 am at Marwaripati. In this regard, all the party workers have been directed to assemble at the venue by 5:30 am.
Vijayvargiya is a former Mayor of Indore city and a six-time legislator from Madhya Pradesh. As Cabinet Minister in the Madhya Pradesh Government, he held several portfolios of Public Works, Parliamentary Affairs, Urban Development, Information Science & Technology etc.
