Dimapur, February 1 (MExN): The Road Over Bridge (ROB) near Hotel Tragopan on National Highway 29 will officially reopen for all vehicular movements starting February 2, following the completion of its rehabilitation. In view of this, the Dimapur Police has issued an advisory to ease traffic flow in the region with updated traffic regulations.
Key Traffic Regulations
One-Way Routes:
The route from Deluxe Point to Holy Cross Police Point will continue to operate as a one-way traffic route.
The route from Khermahal to Deluxe Point will remain a one-way traffic route.
Commercial Vehicle Restrictions on New Flyover:
Commercial vehicles, including auto rickshaws, auto pick-ups, and Tata Mobiles, will be strictly prohibited from using the New Flyover (Tourist Lodge Point towards Deluxe Point) and vice versa between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM daily.
Heavy Vehicle Timings:
Heavy vehicles entering Dimapur from the New Field Inter-State Check Gate will be allowed entry into the district only between 7:00 PM and 9:00 AM daily.
Relaxation of Previous
Traffic Regulations:
All other traffic regulations that were implemented during the rehabilitation of the ROB will be relaxed and will return to normal as per earlier arrangements.
The new traffic advisory aims to improve the flow of vehicles in the area while ensuring safety. However, these regulations may be subject to change based on traffic convenience and feasibility.
This traffic order will be enforced from 7:00 AM on February 2, 2025, and will be closely monitored for any required adjustments.
