Dimapur, May 15 (MExN): The Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church held its senior class graduation Sunday today. A total of 34 children graduated out of Sunday school. Director of Aloino Centre, Anisheli was the speaker. She spoke on the theme ‘God’s strength,’ derived from the book of Proverbs. The outgoing student conducted the praise and worship while a farewell song was presented by the senior class.
Ansheli said that children are the hope of tomorrow therefore, parents’ must to mould their children while young. She compared children to flower buds which can be shaped while tender but not after it becomes a full grown plant. She said that it is impossible to mould children’s character after they become adults. She added that teaching alone will not help and that parent’s must also be living examples to their children.
Shedding light on the themes, Ansheli said that there are three kinds of strength- physical, emotional and spiritual. She exemplified the lives of Joseph who was small in stature but served God’s purpose because he was spiritually strong. On the other hand, Samson was a physically strong but his down fall came because he was not strong spiritually.
