Kohima | November 14
The state level painting competition on energy conservation under National Campaign on Energy Conservation 2022 of Ministry of Power, Government of India (GoI) took place at De Oriental Grand, Kohima on November 14.
It was jointly organised by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, GoI, Department of Electrical Inspectorate Nagaland State Designated Agency, North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited Doyang Hydro Power Station and Department of Education, Government of Nagaland.
Altogether, 51 participants from Group A and 54 from Group B from 16 districts joined the event. A Bedila from Community Education Centre School, Dimapur bagged the first prize in Group A category while Keneingulie Vizo of High Mountain School, Dimapur and Reeva Sarma from Hope Academy School, Dimapur stood second and third position respectively.
In Group B Category, Yeputoli H Yepthomi of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Dimapur bagged the first position while Dhruman Das of Livingstone Foundation International School, Dimapur and Longtsoi L of Eklavya Model Residential School, Tuensang bagged second and third prize respectively.
Top three winners each from Group A and B will represent the state at the National level competition this year at Delhi. The first, second and third position holders in both category were awarded Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively. 10 consolation prize winners in both category awarded with Rs. 7500 each.
Thavaseelan K, principal director school education Nagaland graced the closing function and gave away prizes to the winners.
Earlier, CH R John Zeliang, Head of Power Station (HoPS), NEEPCO Ltd and Kevi from office of Department of Electrical Inspectorate, Nagaland State Designated Agency also delivered short speech.
The judges for the competition were Taliyanger Ozukum, Lanu Pongen, Neilavotuo Keyho, Zeneizokho Kire and Temjen Aier.
