Dimapur SP cautions law enforcing agencies on use of abusive language

Dimapur, August 29 (MExN): In a letter addressed to the President of Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF), the Superintend of Police Dimapur stated that the incident which occurred on the night of August 15, near Flyover Bridge and subsequent situation created at East Police Station involving Isaac Yepthomi and the 15th NAP (IR) Mahila patrolling party.

He stated that the incident has caused an avenue where the law enforcing agency and the community came together across table to engage in amicable redressal of grievances whereby both the parties understood and admitted the circumstances and act of omission and commission leading to the incident. 

The Superintend of Police Dimapur, Videlalie Zashumo in the letter stated, “The fact that the alleged use of abusive languages under the shield of uniform pointing towards a particular community is unacceptable and unfortunate. Therefore, I as the head of the district law enforcing agency condemn such unwanted utterances, and hereby assure to caution all police personnel performing law and order duties to deist from such behavior in future or face serious disciplinary actions.
