DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 2 (MExN): Responding to the news item issued under the caption “Govt. misusing MGNREGA funds” published in some local dailies as per the statement made by the Nagaland State VDB Association, the Dimapur District VDB Association has clarified that the press release given by the Nagaland State VDB Association was without the knowledge or consent of the Dimapur VDB association.
President of the Dimapur District VDB Association Tohoshe Awomi and General Secretary Thrilongse Sangtam has in a press note stated that the Association had not given any complain or grievances to the Nagaland State VDB Association for misuse of any fund under MGNREGA by the Govt. or Department concern.
It informed that the DRDA Dimapur is utilizing the MGNREGA fund as per the guideline laid down by the Govt and so far the Dimapur District VDB Association have not received any complain from any quarter or villages with regards to the misuse of MGNREGA fund. The Dimapur District VDB Association rather appreciated and acknowledged the RD Department particularly the Parliamentary Secretary RD for putting all his efforts even at this crucial period pointing out that due to his efforts, the 2nd phase is going to be released very soon.
