Dimapur, July 30 (MExN): The Diphupar- Angami youth Centre celebrated silver jubilee on July 30. The youth centre was started in 1992 by the residential students of the Salesian College of Higher Education. Since then the residential students have been coming to the centre.
In order to celebrate the silver jubilee, a memorial function was arranged in the premises of St. Peter’s Church. The event began with the Holy Eucharist, which was presided over by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Jose, the Deputy Director of the Salesian College of Higher Education. He was assisted by Rev. Fr. Marius, the Co-pastor of Carmel Parish.
Present at the event were the nuns of Carmel, 5th Mile and the residential students of Salesian College Education.
The memorial function was interspersed with memorable presentation by the old-timers of 1992, aerobics of present day youth, talks by the guests of honour, Youth Director Fr. Christudoss, an elder, jubilee memorial song, a special number by the college students, youth group and a vote of thanks by the Chief Catechist.
