Diphu’s Pompi Terangpi wins 7th NE ‘Dancing Best Mom’

Pompi Terangpi of Diphu of Assam was declared as the winner of 7th edition of the ‘North East Dancing Best Moms’ at at the IMC Hall, Dimapur on December 17.

Pompi Terangpi of Diphu (Assam) emerged as the winner of the 7th edition of the ‘North East Dancing Best Mom’ after the grand finale held at the IMC Hall, Dimapur on December 17. 

Pooja Rongpipi and Mayuri Devi were respectively declared the 1st and 2nd Runners-up. Terangpi walked away with a cash prize of Rs 50,000, while Rongpipi, who hails from Guwahati (Assam), received a cash prize of Rs 15,000, and Devi of Dibrugarh (Assam) received Rs 10,000.

Er Chetan Mazumder, a businessman & social worker, graced the finale as the Chief Guest, while Tikaram Dhakal, Founder member of Dimapur Gorkha Union, was the Guest of Honour. 

The 7th season was hosted by Jumoni Burman, and the judges were Pranju Prince and Tanaya Swargiary.

The dancing contest is annually organised by Murti Films Creations (MFC) with Everyday Salt as the title sponsor.

Actor Muna Yadav, the proprietor of MFC, conceived the contest as a platform for married women with talents and garnered support from Naresh Jain MD, Everyday Salt, and the first season was subsequently designed, maintained a press release. 

The success of the first season resulted in four more consecutive seasons, covering all the states of NE India, it added.
