Missing or broken signage letters at main entrance building of the Dimapur Railway Station making it appear as though the station’s name has changed to Dipu railway station. Although the station has been earmarked for upgradation to ‘world class level,’ by the Centre’s “Amrit Bharat Station Scheme,” last year ground realities paint a different picture. Dimapur’s lone railway station has been consistently plagued by lack of maintenance and neglect from the concerned authorities though it is considered to be one of the highest revenue generating stations under the Northeast Frontier Railways.
