Mokokchung, May 4 (MExN): The office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung has issued the following orders relating to opening of markets to be enforced in the entire Mokokchung district till further notice:
Shops to be opened on regular basis on market opening days (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday):
• Essential commodities, Rice and Saw mills, Fabrications, printing and stationeries, motor parts & workshops and all kinds of repairing shops, tailoring, mobile recharge and telecom outlets.
• Local vegetable vendors will be allowed on all the market days at the following locations: Old Town Hall Market; New Market ; and Taxi Parking MMC Complex
Shops to be opened only on specific day:
• Tuesday: Hardware, Electrical and furniture shops
• Thursday: Electronics, Kitchen wares and utensils
• Saturday: Cosmetics, clothes and readymade garments
Shops to be closed on all days:
• Hotels and restaurants
• Gyms, saloons and beauty parlours
• All shop/trade not in the exempted list as per Order issued on May 4, 2020
“The market opening timing shall be from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The current system of rationing of essential commodities shall be put on hold till further orders,” the DC Mokokchung stated while adding, “any person/group acting in violation of this order shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.”
