Meluri, November 4 (MExN): Director, Information & Public Relations, Limawati Ao visited APRO Office, Meluri on November 3. While interacting with the staff, the Director acknowledged APRO Meluri, Metevizo Sothu and his subordinate staff for performing their duties and successfully completing repair and renovation of their office on time. He also urged the staff to be more sincere and be regular in office. "The government is now giving importance to IPR department because of its immense role in disseminating government policies and programmes to the public," he said.
He further said the role of media in sensitizing and creating awareness to the people especially in rural areas about the programmes, policies and schemes of the government is very important. As IPR personnel, their duty and responsibility was to provide the right information to the public at the right time, he added.
In a press release from Nongozo Rikha APRO, Sothu expressed gratitude to the Director for visiting the office and showing his love and concern for the welfare of the people. He also mentioned that he was the first ever director to visit the APRO office Meluri since its inception.
