Directorate of Art & Culture invites applications for financial assistance

Kohima, September 9 (MExN): The Directorate of Art and Culture, Nagaland, has announced that applications are now open for financial assistance under the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur, for the 2024-2025 period.

Voluntary organizations, research scholars, universities, and colleges working to preserve and develop the cultural heritage of the Himalayas are eligible to apply.

Applicants must be Indian citizens and indigenous inhabitants of the respective state. The submission process requires applicants to provide detailed documents and information through the State Government for projects proposed within the state. Research scholars, universities, and colleges are required to submit their applications through the University Grants Commission (UGC) to the NEZCC.

Incomplete applications, particularly those missing the State Government Recommendation (SGR) and required documents, will not be considered. All eligible applications will be reviewed by an expert committee formed by the Ministry of Culture.

Application forms and further details can be obtained from the Directorate of Art and Culture offices, Shilpgram in Guwahati, and the NEZCC headquarters in Dimapur. The forms are also available online at the NEZCC website and its official Facebook page.

The deadline for submission is October 31, 2024. Late applications will not be entertained. The NEZCC Director reserves the right to accept or reject any application without providing reasons.
