
Kohima, June 20 (MExN): The Monitoring and Evaluation team of the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Nagaland led by Joint Director C. Lotam Chang and Assistant Director Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao and staff inspected the Year of Construction Workers (YOCW) programme in Kiphire and Phek districts from June 16 to 19.
The team oversaw the ongoing State’s flagship programme in re-skilling and up-skilling the Naga youths who are already self-employed in construction sector, informed a press release from Monitoring & Evaluation Cell, YOCW. Based on the NSDC curriculum, trainees under the programme are trained for one week and awarded certificate as Assistant Mason, it added.
The team from the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship attended the valedictory programme in Kiphire and the inaugural programme in Phek and “found the training quite satisfactory while interacting with the trainees and stakeholders of the concerned districts,” the release said.
YOCW is carried out in partnership with Zynorique Initiative Society and YouthNet.
