Discipleship Bible College holds convocation

Dimapur, May 13 (MExN): Discipleship Bible College, Dimapur held its 33rd convocation service along with the 16th convocation of the Federated Theological Programme of North East India (FTPNEI) at its college campus here on May 13.   Rev. Vezopa Tetseo, Executive Secretary, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council, was the guest speaker. He reminded the theological students not to compromise their spiritual commitments with worldly interest as they go out into the world to witness the love of God. He also cautioned them not to accept the theological degrees as just a qualification to seek job but to serve the Lord with the good knowledge of the teachings of Jesus Christ and sense of obedience. “Obedience is required qualification in God’s ministry,” he exhorted. The speaker also shared his own experience of being touched by the holy spirit and encouraged the students to live a spiritual life.   Various awards were given to the outstanding academic achievers and performers in some important areas of ministry during the programme.   Altogether, 46 students with Master of Divinity (FTPNEI), one student with Master of Ministry, and 33 students with Bachelor of Theology graduated during the academic session of 2015-16.

  Discipleship Bible College (DBC) is the legacy and fruit of the Great Revival Movement of Nagaland in the year 1976, DBC Principal, Rev. O. Alem informed.   The International Evangelistic Fellowship (IEF) is the sole founder and proprietor of the college, which is run by a Board of Governors with Er. Obang Longchari as chairman.   The college offers M.Div, B.Th and Dip. in Theology and is accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA) and recognized by the Nagaland Baptist Church Council.
