Niuland, April 4 (MExN): ‘Adapt with change of time and challenges,’ stated Tokheho Yepthomi MP (Lok Sabha) while addressing the officers during the District Development Co-ordination and monitoring committee (DISHA) meeting held at DC’s Conference Hall, Niuland on April 3.
MP Tokheho Yepthomi who is also the chairperson, DISHA said, ‘the committee was set up to monitor the efficient and time bound development of centrally sponsored schemes all over the State,’ a DIPR report stated.
Yepthomi encouraged the departments to co-ordinate and identify the villages and beneficiaries for effective implementation of the schemes and instructed the officers to sensitize the public so that the development reaches at the grass root level. The MP said that co-ordination meeting will be held quarterly and to submit detailed reports of schemes implemented in the district.
The Department of Food & Civil Supplies, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Horticulture, Medical, Education R&B, PHED, RD and Land Resources gave detailed presentation of central schemes implementation from the year 2018-2022. The committee members also deliberated on various schemes and implementation in the district.
DC Niuland, Sara S Jamir chaired the meeting.
