DISHA Wokha meeting held to review CSS progress

DIMAPUR, MAY 24 (MExN): The District Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA), Wokha held a review meeting with MP Lok Sabha and Chairman DISHA, Tokheho Yepthomi on May 22 at the DC's conference hall to oversee and monitor the progress of different works under centrally sponsored schemes. Advisor to Chief Minister Dr Chumben Murry also attended the review meeting.

Yepthomi, while giving the opening remark said the purpose of conducting this meeting is to remind the implementing departments to ensure that centrally sponsored schemes and projects are effectively implemented on time and to ensure that schemes reach the targeted people, a DIPR report informed. 

The MP urged all the officials to do their assignment with sincerity and give more efforts in serving people to make the state developed and progressive. He also informed the members during the meeting that, from this year onwards, the state government has to release the state share of 10% first, after which the central government will release the remaining 90% central share within 30 days.

During the meeting, the following departments- Food & Civil Supplies, PWD (R&B), Agriculture, PHED, Rural Development, Power, Social Welfare, and Health & Family Welfare presented activities of the centrally sponsored schemes implemented under their respective departments. The department officials also presented some of the issues, challenges, and ways forward for effective implementation.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Ajit Kumar Ranjan.
