District Health Society Kiphire launches Mission Indradhanush

Kiphire, July 17 (MExN): District Health Society Kiphire launched Mission Indradhanush (MI) at Kiphire village on July 16. The objective of the programme was to strengthen Routine Immunization (RI) in the district with the target beneficiaries from children of 0-2 years and pregnant mothers who were left out/drop out. The programme aims to promote full immunization to every child at villages under EGSA.  

The programme was chaired by District Immunization Officer (DIO), Kiphire Dr. Pewezo Khalo and gave an overview of the mission. In his keynote address Dr. Khalo stated that this programme aims to achieve 100% immunization coverage of Aspirational District, Kiphire.  

Kiphire District Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Ali Shihab, IAS kick-off the MI-EGSA for Kiphire District. He appealed to all the parents to avail the benefits of immunization to their children. In his address, He also thanked the medical team led by DIO Kiphire and Kiphire Village Council to further enhance Mission Indradhanush in the District. Deputy Commissioner Kiphire further wishes the mission to be more successful for the welfare of the people.  

A press release issued by Atsali T, District Media Officer CMO Office Kiphire stated that the programme concluded with vote of thanks by Chairman Kiphire Village Council. The programme was attended by Seema (RRT WHO), village council members, DH Nurses, BPM, BEE, Media Officer, ASHA Workers, GBs, and participants from Kiphire village.
