District Legal Services Authorities continue creating legal awareness

Kohima, September 28 (MExN): Kohima District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) sensitized the children of Bright Morning Star Children Home, Kohima on different legal topics at the one day seminar organised by the children home on September 25. 

Apila Sangtam and Vimeno Nakhro, panel lawyers, KDLSA participated as the resource persons and covered the topics such as Children and Law, RTE (Right to Education) Act, 2009. 

Phek DLSA attended one day seminar organised by Thenyizumi Women Society at Thenyizu village under Phek District on September 26. 

Presenting the topic on Domestic Violence Act 2005, Keneinuo Swuro, Project Assistant Phek DLSA highlighted the rights of aggrieved person(s) and remedies under Domestic Violence Act. 

Sekhotso Rokha, panel lawyer, PDLSA shared the causes/effect, prevention and protection under Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act 1986, followed by an interactive session where further discussion were engaged and insights were imparted.

Awareness on Right To Education (RTE) was conducted At Grace School Wokha on September 28 by Wokha District Legal Services Authority (WDLSA). 

Andrew Tsanglao, Administrator, Grace School Wokha spoke on the Right To Education. Legal pamphlets were also distributed to faculties and students.
