
WOKHA, JULY 17 (MExN): District level orientation on Maternal Paternal Child Death Surveillance and Response (MPCDSR) and RMNCAH+N cum district review meeting for health workers was organized by Medical Department, Wokha at CMO conference hall Wokha on July 17.
Chief Medical Officer, Wokha, Dr Zubenthung Kikon, welcomed the health workers and hoped that the training will be a productive one for the district.
Resource persons for the orientation cum review meeting were Dr Thungchanpeni Patton, DPO (RCH/UIP) and Mhonbeni Ezung, DPM (NHM). Dr Thungchanpeni explained on the basic features of RMNCAH+N and MPCDSR as one of its component. She stressed on the importance of reproductive, maternal, neonatal, nutrition and adolescent health and described it is the backbone of National Health Mission.
She sought the support of the health workers to further strengthen the data management and documentation in the district. Topics on e-PMSMA, LAQSHYA, SUMAN etc were also covered by Dr Thungchanpeni.
The second session on Maternal Health, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram, Family Planning, Adolescent Health, High Risk Pregnancy Reporting etc was undertaken by Mhonbeni Ezung. She informed the health workers on the need to identify high risk pregnancy and emphasized on regular ANC checkup by pregnant women.
The orientation-cum-review meeting was attended by senior medical officers, medical officers, community health officers, block programme managers, nurses, UPHC and DPMU staffs.
