Phek, October 20 (MExN): A four-day district level training for ANM under health & wellness centre on expanded package of services for Phek district was conducted at CMO conference hall, Phek from October 16 to 19.
The resource persons were Seto Community Health Officer (CHO) of Leshemi HWC-SC, Kenny CHO of Reguri HWC-SC and Soshelu CHO of Phugi HWC-SC.
The main aim of the training was to enhance the skills of the front line workers in health & wellness centres so that they can provide quality preventive care and provide operational efficiency of various services to the community.
The expanded package are comprised of 12 services which is to be provided by AYUSHMAN BHARAT- Health & Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs) the services includes screening, prevention, control and management of NCD, Care for common eye and ENT problems, basic oral health Care, elderly and palliative health care services, emergency medical services etc.
The resource persons have oriented the trainers on their roles to provide basic health care services to both physical and mental conditions, provide supportive counselling to all age group, promote health care educations through health talks to both the patients and families, assessing and monitoring patients etc.
Besides orienting on the 12 services above mentioned services they were also re-oriented on the importance of quality and timely reporting every month to avoid drop down of district performances by Sedeu Rupreo, District Program Manager NHM.
