District-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament at Kiphire

Kohima, February 25 (MExN): The District-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament was conducted at Zisaji Presidency College (ZPC), Kiphire on February 25.

The programme was organized by NSS Unit of ZPC under the theme, “50 Years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy.”

Rozy Sangtam, SDO (Civil) Kiphire graced the inaugural ceremony.

In keynote address, Dr. Phyobenthung, Principal ZPC, encouraged critical thinking among citizens, especially the youth.

He urged upon the youth to learn from past experiences and work collectively towards a more inclusive and democratic future.

The programme was led by M. Leiwang Konyak PO NSS Unit ZPC while welcome address was delivered by Dr. Purna Chandra Mishra, Vice Principal ZPC.

Gagan Chandra Mishra, Associate Professor ZPC gave a closing remark.

The participants actively engaged in delivering speeches on the theme, reflecting on democratic values and historical lessons.

The winners will be representing the district at the State Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament.
