District quality control task force inspects petrol pumps at Wokha

Wokha, October 17 (MExN): The District Quality Control Task Force team from District Administration, Police, Food & Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection and DPRO conducted inspection at the two petrol outlets at Wokha on October 17.  

According to a DIPR report, the main aspect of the inspection is to check fuel adulteration, facilities for consumers such as clean bathrooms, toilets, clean drinking water and free air refilling etc.  

Inspection was done on fuel quality, density & temperature and filter paper test. Both the petrol pumps were found to be within the permissible limit on fuel quality and quantity.  

During the inspection, the District Control Task Force informed the proprietors to follow the existing guidelines on maintenance and to provide basic amenities to consumers and also to follow the various provisions of the law for running the outlet. For the benefit of the public, the District Control Task Force will be conducting such exercises on regular basis. Public were also informed to ensure that zero reading is indicated before refilling is made.
