Wokha, November 27 (MExN): District review meeting on Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY was held at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Wokha.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Zuben Kikon, Deputy Chief Medical Officer and District Nodal Officer Wokha. He welcomed the members and gave a powerpoint presentation on the current performance and status of BIS and EHCPs under Wokha district. Dr Kikon read out the constraints of BIS, claims settlements and remedial measures. He assured that the BIS drive will be intensified by December 2020 in order to generate more golden cards.
DC Wokha, Orenthung Lotha advised the Mitras to set a target in their respective blocks and also maintain a calendar of activities to carry BIS drive. He highlighted on the need to conduct awareness programme in rural and urban areas pertaining to the AB-PMJAY scheme.
Dr Wobemo Yanthan, Nodal Officer, District Hospital Wokha informed that there is no separate provision of incentive for PMAMs. Moreover, they are engaged in office works and are unable to give more time to for PMJAY activities, he added.
A press release from CMO office Wokha stated that the meeting concluded with Kidan Ovung, District Coordinator highlighting on the distribution of BIS and claims samples to four EHCPs i.e. District Hospital Wokha, PHC Chukitong, Sanis and Bhandari community health centres.
