Peren, February 5 (MExN): The Chief Medical Office, Peren held its monthly district review meeting cum training of trainers for ASHAs on LLIN at CMO conference hall on February 5. The meeting, attended by District Programme Officers, Medical Officers, nurses, pharmacist, District and Block Program Management Unit Staff NHM, had Dr. Limatula, District Vector Borne Officer, NVBDCP as the resource person. A press release informed that during the meeting, Dr. Tiala, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Peren highlighted the last month’s Intensified Pulse Polio performance and asked the low performing area and units to improve their performance. She also lauded all the health workers for the success of the healthy lifestyle camp held in Jalukie. She urged all health workers to work sincerely for the upcoming IPPI and briefed the members on the importance of Vaccine Vial Monitor. Dr. Khrielasanuo, DPO, RCH/UIP highlighted about the final report on Mission Indradhanush of all the 4 rounds. She informed about the Deworming Day, which will be held on February 10 and mop-up on February 15. She said that all school going children (both govt. and private) will be covered by the Department of School Education. The school children till the age of 19 years will be covered by the Department of Social Welfare helped by the ASHAs. She appealed to all health workers to give their full cooperation and support and to work sincerely. She also explained about the dosage of medicines Albendazole: children from 1 to below 2 years – half tablet (200mg), 2-19 years – one tablet (400mg). Meanwhile, training of trainers for ASHAs for Long lasting Insecticides Treated Bed Nets (LLIN) under NVBDCP was conducted by Dr. Limatula, DVBO (NVBDCP). The training was attended by the Block program Managers, ASHA Coordinators of the 4 blocks under Peren district and Medical Officers.
