Kiphire, September 14 (MExN): The Kiphire District Tobacco Control Cell conducted a seminar on Tobacco-Free Educational Institutions and Schools at the conference hall, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, on September 14.
Altogether, 30 teachers from 16 schools—both government and private—attended the seminar, during which all the 16 schools were registered on the ToFEI App, according to a press release from the District Media Officer, Kiphire CMO Office.
During the seminar, short speeches were delivered by ADC Kiphire Rahul Mali and Kiphire District Education Officer Deenabandhu Panda. The welcome and keynote address was given by District Nodal Officer for NTCP Kiphire Dr N Moa Jamir while Psychologist at District Hospital Kiphire Kedorianuo Sirie presented the guidelines for Tobacco Free Educational Institutions and Orientation, ToFEI App. The closing remarks were proposed by Jr Dental Surgeon, District Hospital Kiphire Dr Wekhrou Mero, the release stated.
