
Dimapur, April 26 (MExN): District units of Nagaland SSA Teachers’ Association (NSSATA) have extended support to the Central NSSATA in its demands.
NSSATA Mokokchung (2010-2013) has extended “full support” to the decision of the NSSATA Central team in non-acceptance of the pending salaries of January 2018 till date without the 7th RoP. “Further, the NSSATA Mokokchung is prepared for full cooperation towards any course of action initiated by the central team,” asserted a press statement from NSSATA Mokokchung (2010-2013).
NSSATA Kohima unit has also extended its full support to the three-point ultimatum issued by the NSSATA. A press release from the unit president, Thejangulie Kirha has requested all the unit members to be “mentally and physically prepared for any action as and when required.”
In a separate press statement, NSSATA Mon unit informed that it has in a meeting held on April 25 decided to support the ultimatum served on the government by the NSSATA. The unit cautioned the Sub Divisional Education Officers (SDEOs) under Mon district not to counter sign the pay bill without the 7th ROP.
“Since, 2010 and 2013 batch (SSA teachers) are regular state employees as per the advertisement vide order NO.ED/ADMN/1/2009-10 and NO.ED/EXAM/2010- 2011 respectively,” it stated, they have been “enjoying all other benefits of the state employees since the date of appointment and along with it, deduction of 10% NPS of the total emolument G.I.S and professional tax.”
The Mon unit further offered support to the democratic means of agitation called by Central NSSATA beginning from May 2. Requesting students, parents, and NGOs to cooperate during the agitation, the unit also asked its members to be ready for it.
