The District Zonal Auditions of the 9th Multi Media Campaign has been announced. November 14 at Mokokchung Town Hall and November 15 at State Academy Hall Kohima and Dimapur Town Hall.
The bands performing in the three district zonal auditions are some of the finest bands from Nagaland.
The contents and message of the songs which they will be performing are diverse, ranging from those that will raise social awareness about HIV/AIDS and make an impact on the youth, and basing upon the same, the best bands will be selected for the state level competition.
The two selected bands from each district zonal auditions will compete at the state level competition on the 26th of November, 2019 at The Heritage, Kohima.
The winner of the competition will represent the state at the 2nd Northeast Multi Media Campaign to be held at Imphal, Manipur on 18 December, 2019.
The campaign is conducted under the theme "Know your HIV status. Get tested and treated" organized by the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) with the aim to spread HIV and AIDS awareness through music.
Understanding the dynamic social factors of the youth today, this platform is chosen to develop effective HIV messages and make interventions so that young people could learn and talk about HIV. The entry is free.
The participants can also avail free IEC materials, free merchandise, and HIV testing facilities at the venue.
