Districts receive Bengaluru returnees

Dimapur, June 6 (MExN): Stranded citizens who arrived from Bengaluru on June 5 were reported to have reached their respective districts on June 6.


According to a DIPR report, Zunheboto district received 166 returnees from Bengaluru in seven buses from Dimapur on Saturday. 35 returnees are quarantined at the Zunheboto Cultural Hall while the 49 are in Government Higher Secondary School, 52 in Town Hall and 30 are in Zunheboto Government College, according to the report.


Meanwhile, Longleng received 60 returnees from Bengaluru at Yingli College, Longleng on Saturday.


Three Nagaland State Transport bus services carrying 56 Bengaluru returnees from Dimapur reached Kiphire on June 6. For thermal screening they were taken to Helipad ground where they were received by the District administration, police, medical department, organisation and church leaders. 


After the registration and screening, all the returnees were taken to the Zisaji Presidency College quarantine centre where they will be lodged for 14 days.


In Peren, the District Administration along with medical staff, police personnel, DPRO staff, JAC members and Baptist Pastor's Fellowship, Jalukie town received 99 returnees  on June 5 at the reception centre set up at GHSS ground, Jalukie.


After a short formal programme, the returnees underwent thermal screening and necessary details were recorded by the screening team. 


Food packs and gift packages were also distributed by the District Administration and BBBP team.


Thereafter, the returnees were segregated and escorted to GHSS Chapel Hall, St. Xavier College Auditorium Hall quarantine centre and GHSS facility quarantine centre respectively.


On Saturday, 85 returnees from Bengaluru reached Tuensang in four buses and they were screened at Sao Chang College quarantine centre. 


Till date, a total of 262 returnees are in quarantine centres in Tuensang, with 17 persons at Chare quarantine facility, 3 at CBLT office, 58 at ITI Tuensang, 178 at Sao Chang College and 6 at St John Higher Secondary School Quarantine Centre.
