Dimapur, October 28 (MExN): MLA & Chairman, NIDC Ltd., Tovihoto Ayemi has extended greetings to the Hindu community of Dimapur on the occasion of Deepawali (Diwali). Giving expression to happiness by lighting lamps should also illuminate the minds and hearts of the people leading to peace and harmony among different communities in Dimapur, Tovihoto stated in a message. “In the midst of all lighting extravaganza, let this festival also be an occasion for reaching out to the poor and needy and homeless and enlighten their life,” he added. BJP Nagaland also greeted everyone a joyous Diwali festival. Like the festival “which bears the essence of welcoming new and good things in place of the old and negative,” the BJP Nagaland wished everyone the best that the festival and the year ahead would bring. As the people celebrate Diwali, State BJP president, Visasolie Lhoungu stated, the goodwill of such a festival should bring about the eagerness of the people to dwell, live and work together harmoniously to create an ever better cosmopolitan place to be in. The BJP Nagaland also requested the people to cautiously use the fireworks and avoid any unfavorable hazardous situation. NPF Minority Wing also extended hearty greetings and best wishes to the people of Nagaland and neighbouring area on the occasion of Diwali. This kind of festival is to share happiness amongst all and strengthen brotherhood relationship in the State, it added.
